St Mary the Virgin, Ebony is a small but active church, serving the local community. Regular Services and Events are held including the annual Chapel Bank Pilgrimage, one of the highlights of the calendar.

The church is supported by a group of dedicated parishioners such as May Armstrong. May is an honorary member of the PCC and is currently the longest serving parishioner and has written a short story based on past events in the church.
